Project Details:
Supply and installation of new Jatoba timber bonded calcium sulphate panels and installation of loose lay Jatoba timber floors and terrazzo installations to form new floor area to First Class Ticketing and Business Premier Lounges for the new Eurostar Terminal at Kings Cross.
Additional works included the supply and installation of bespoke stainless steel grommets and associated fixtures and fittings to all areas. Further installations were carried out to form new security rooms and equipment rooms.
All our works were completed on time against deadlines imposed by the grand opening by Her Majesty The Queen and the first Eurostar train to travel from Kings Cross to Paris.
Connaught secured a number of smaller contracts extending ticketing areas, business class lounges and works in other parts of the station. This project highlights the benefits of using pre bonded raised floor tiles with specialist finishes to create working voids and service runs under the floor in areas that traditional flooring build ups would not allow.
